Drug Uses Altace is primarily used in the treatment of high blood pressure but it may also be used to reduce the chances of heart attack, stroke, and heart-related death in people 55 years or older. Usage Take Altace exactly as prescribed to you by your doctor. Some people have difficulty swallowing the capsule. In such an event, you may break the capsule and mix the content with water or 4 oz of applesauce. However, ensure that you drink the entire mixture to get the full dosage. Missed Dose If you miss a dose, then you may take it as soon as you remember. However, space out your remaining doses accordingly. Do not take a double dose. Storage Store it at room temperature in a tightly closed container. Overdose Seek medical attention immediately if you suspect an overdose.
